SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The bikini bar in the Dorchester Village Shopping Center is closing its doors, but a second bar may be opening soon on the other end of the town.
The Femme Fatale club has been ordered to close its doors by the end of the month after the owner pleaded no contest to charges that dancers in the club violated zoning laws, said Dorchester County Council Member Jamie Feltner.
Owner Tyrone Faulkner told the Post and Courier he planned to relocate the club, but did not say where. Faulkner was given a 30-day suspended sentence, Feltner said.
The closure came after an undercover video showed the bikinis worn by the dancers exposed too much flesh, the Post and Courier reported. The business was also cited by code enforcement officials for violating zoning restrictions.
Faulkner's attorney tried unsuccessfully to get the county to drop the zoning violations after several changes were made to the club, the report stated.
