BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) – A 30-year-old man is in critical condition Wednesday afternoon after being shot on Guerry Circle in the Forest Lawn subdivision in Goose Creek.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says the victim was shot with a small caliber handgun. The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Deputies were able to locate and arrest two suspects in connection with the shooting; 17-year-old Zakaria Alexander Morris and 21-year-old William Adam Murray have been charged with attempted murder.

Investigators say a verbal altercation over a bicycle led to a fight between the men which ended in gunfire.

Both suspects are being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner with bond hearings scheduled for Thursday night.
