NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A man was arrested and charged with being a peeping Tom Wednesday after campus police found him in a Trident Tech ladies' room.

According to an affidavit from North Charleston Police, Riccardo P. Addison, 26, entered a women's restroom and hid in one of the stalls with the intent of invading the privacy of anyone who entered.

Three people told Trident's Public Safety Office they had seen Addison hiding in a stall while he stood on a toilet and peered over the stall wall into the adjoining stall, the affidavit states.

When Public Safety officers ordered Addison from the stall, he tried to hide before finally exiting the stall. When officers tried to arrest Addison, he attempted to flee but was subdued, the affidavit states.

When Addison was searched, officers found eight unused condoms in his pockets. Addison also uttered several times to arresting officers that the entire ordeal "was all a big misunderstanding."

Trident Tech has not issued a statement about Addison's arrest. It is currently unknown if he was a student there.

Addison has quite an extensive rap sheet that dates back to 2001. He has been charged on an array of crimes including simple assault, disturbing schools, armed robbery and burglary.
