Detectives discover meth lab in Ladson, arrest man for stolen goods

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A Crime Stoppers tip for stolen property led authorities to a meth lab Thursday night in Ladson.

Charleston and Berkeley County sheriff's detectives located a meth lab while executing a search warrant at 4497 Sprig St. in Ladson. A Crime Stoppers tip led to the execution of the search warrant for property that was reported stolen from a Berkeley County residence earlier this week.

Detectives searched the residence and located the stolen property and a meth lab. James David Allen was arrested at the scene and charged with receiving stolen goods.

Allen's bond hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday in Charleston County.
