Fort Jackson to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

FORT JACKSON, SC (AP) - Fort Jackson will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a free event that includes music, food and children's activities.

Saturday's event is sponsored by the Fort Jackson Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation and the Soldier Support Institute. It will be held at Patriots Park.

The guest speaker will be Latino Communications owner Tanya Rodriguez-Hodges. Latino Communications provides translation, education and other services for Hispanic residents.

The entertainment will include DJ Orly and salsa dancers Blanca and Chris Flores of Con Sabor Dance Company.
