Sail boat runs into Ashley River Bridge

Charleston, SC (WCSC) –  Charleston City Police say a 25-foot sail boat ran into the Ashley River Bridge at around 2p.m. Sunday.

According to police the sail boat broke away from its mooring and the tide carried the boat toward the bridge causing the boat to hit the bridge.

The sail boat was unoccupied when this incident occurred and there was no major damage to the boat or the Ashley River Bridge.
