CLARENDON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Three teenagers were killed in a car accident Sunday morning near Manning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the wreck happened around 7:00 a.m. on Old Georgetown Road, about three miles west of Manning. The car was headed south, but for unknown reasons the car went off the left side of the road, hit a tree and caught fire.
Cody Hall, 15, Cody Parnell, 17, and Jesse Parnell, 14, died in the wreck. The coroner said the Parnells were brothers.
All three boys attended Laurence Manning Academy. Headmaster Spencer Jordan announced Monday that school is canceled Thursday, because funerals for the boys will be held at 11 a.m. that day. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6-8 p.m.
Jordan said there will be counselors on hand Monday to help students and staff with their grieving.
