GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) – A 24-year-old man arrested in connection to a fatal hit and run accident in Georgetown County early Sunday morning has been released on $25,000 bail.
Authorities arrested 24-year-old Terry Bryant, of Georgetown, for leaving the scene of a deadly accident Sunday morning on Highway 701.
According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, 37-year-old Toni Montondo was driving down Exodus Drive when she went through a stop sign, across Highway 701, and crashed into a tree. At that point, she got out of her SUV, and was hit by another driver.
The Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident and troopers say a second vehicle might have also been involved. They believe it may be a General Motors pickup, SUV or van.

According to her Facebook page, Montondo is survived by her husband, Bruce, and two children.
