CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Pedestrians will take over King Street from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 10. The street will be closed from Calhoun Street to Broad Street.
Shops will be able to sell their wares on the street, and restaurants will be able to serve seated patrons adult beverages on the sidewalk. Residents will be able to explore this artery of the peninsula in a much more relaxed manner than usual.
The closing was first tried in May. Building on the success of that event, closings are planned for the second Sunday in November and December as well.
