NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – North Charleston Police have arrested a third suspect in connection with a Friday shooting at a North Charleston gas station that left one man dead. The shooting happened early Friday morning at the Fuel Express on Rivers Avenue.
Investigators from North Charleston made contact with Martha Ramirez-Castillo Saturday and were able to determine she was in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Police contacted Sheriff's officials there, and Ramirez-Castillo was taken into custody without incident. She faces accessory after the fact of murder charges.
Police had previously arrested two other suspects in the shooting. 21-year-old Edgar Diego and 21-year-old Jose Efrain Dzib Camara were arrested Saturday and are charged with accessory after the fact of murder.
Murder warrants have been issued for 27-year-old Luis Angel Tellez Mercado and 25-year-old Ablardo Solento-Martinez.
The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified 25-year-old Jeu Roberlo Mendez as the shooting victim. Mendez was found on the ground unresponsive, he died at the scene from a single gunshot wound to the head.
