2 Bluffton men arrested on dozens of drug charges

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) – Two Bluffton men were arrested Monday on drug charges and another man was arrested for an outstanding probation warrant.

With the assistance of the Bluffton Police Department, members of the Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force arrested three subjects on Martha Brown Circle in Bluffton.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. Monday, investigators concluded a portion of a several month drug investigation into the illegal sale of drugs in the area of Martha Brown Circle. One of the target's of this investigation was Matthew Frazier.

Members of the drug task force learned that Frazier was responsible for distributing quantities of marijuana, crack cocaine and cocaine from the Martha Brown Circle area. Investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for a vehicle that Frazier primarily distributed the illegal drugs from.

Frazier, 29, was found in possession of marijuana, crack cocaine, cocaine, controlled drugs, currency and a stolen firearm, which was stolen from Savannah, Ga. Frazier was arrested on numerous drug charges and 10 drug sale charges.

At the execution of the search warrant, Carlos A. Williams, 31, attempted to flee from investigators.  Williams was detained and found to possess marijuana. Kenneth Lamonte Johnson, 26, was also located in the area and found to have an outstanding probation warrant.

Authorities seized approximately 29 grams of cocaine, 7 grams of crack cocaine, 75 tablets of controlled substance, 8 grams of marijuana, a 9 mm handgun and $11,431.

This in an ongoing investigation and other subjects have been identified as selling illegal drugs.  Additional arrests are expected as a result of this investigation.
