COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) - More than $2 million is coming to some colleges and universities in South Carolina.
The money is being spit up between Clemson, the College of Charleston, SC State and the University of South Carolina.
The money is coming from the Department of Education, the National Science Foundation and the Department of Health and Human Services.
SC State will receive $150,000 for a rehabilitation training program and College of Charleston will get almost $420,000 for a program that helps transition students with intellectual disabilities into higher education.
Clemson is expected to receive almost $450,000 for its project, "mentoring children of prisoners," and its program that helps faculty members do research abroad.
The University of South Carolina will be getting almost $1 million for various research and training programs.
