Woman killed after car flips on I-26

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – A woman was killed Tuesday after an accident on Interstate 26.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol officials, 54-year-old Sheila Wilson, of North Charleston, died when her car swerved off the right side of the road and flipped several times.

The accident happened around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at mile marker 217 near Baker Hospital Boulevard.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
