COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Jobs are at the center of a debate between U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson and Democrat Rob Miller.
The South Carolina congressman known for heckling President Barack Obama last year faced his Democratic challenger in a debate today on South Carolina Educational Television.
Miller blames Wilson for supporting a policy that forced textiles to leave the state for South America. But Wilson contends CAFTA was good for jobs and national security. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seems to be the third person at the debate, as Wilson frequently cites her. Miller told him to move to San Francisco if he wants to run against Pelosi.
Wilson's "You lie!" outburst during Obama's speech to Congress on health care brought streams of cash to both Wilson's and Miller's campaigns.
