SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston-Berkeley-Dorchester Council of Governments held a public hearing at Summerville High School on Monday night.
The goal of the forum was to craft a shared regional vision with identified priorities for public investment. All three counties want to work together for the better of the Tri-County. Residents were invited to talk about county unity and region growth.
There are several other meetings scheduled. The next meeting is Tuesday at the Goose Creek Senior Center on Thurgood Road from 6-9 p.m. On Wednesday, the councils will meet at the Felix Community Center in North Charleston from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday at Moultrie Middle School in Mt. Pleasant from 6-9 p.m.
The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDCOG) is a voluntary association of, by and for local governments. It was established to assist local governments in planning for common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit, and coordinating for sound regional development.
