James Island home catches fire

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - No one was home when 30-foot flames engulfed a James Island house Tuesday night.

According to the James Island Fire Department, the home located at 1145 Brigantine Ave. near Lighthouse Boulevard, caught fire around 11:30 p.m.

Firefighters said flames were shooting up to 30 feet in the air. Three people lived in the house, but no one was home. The home was a total loss.
