LADSON, SC (WCSC) - The Coastal Carolina Fair is finally here. Lots of fun is in store for the Lowcountry over the next two weeks.
Gates opened at 3 p.m. Thursday and the fair runs through Nov. 6 at the Exchange Park in Ladson on Highway 78. You can take exits 205 A and 203 off Interstate 26.
The fair has rides, food and entertainment. Country music singer Phil Vassar will headline Thursday night's entertainment. He takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks will follow.
Ticket prices for adults is $8 and for children ages 6-15, the price is $5. Kids under 5 get in free. Patrons can purchase a ride-all-day pass for $20 every day. Parking is free.
If you plan to go to the fair Friday, there has been a change in the schedule. Comedian James Gregory won't be performing. Instead, comedian Jon Reed will perform at 8 p.m. on the lakefront stage. Reeds has performed on several TV shows, including NBC's "Last Comic Standing."
