Frost advisories issued for north-central SC

COLUMBIA, SC (AP) - Forecasters say some parts of South Carolina could have a little frost on the pumpkin.

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for early Saturday morning for north-central parts of the state, including Greenwood, Spartanburg and Chesterfield.

Forecasters say clear skies and calm winds should help temperatures fall to the mid and upper 30s in those areas by daybreak Saturday, leading to the first frost of the season.

The weather service says lows should be back in the 40s by early Sunday morning.
