7 arrested in Berkeley County for dog fighting

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) – In a joint investigation Berkeley County Sheriff's and Florence County Sheriff's Deputies arrested  seven people Saturday involved in a dog fighting and baiting at a residence on Nolton Lane in Moncks Corner.

Deputies seized approximately $14,000, 20 dogs and one firearm from the suspects and property.

Seven men were arrested and charged with dog fighting and baiting.

Tyrone Washington, 32, of Moncks Corner, was charged with dog fighting, baiting and possession of marijuana. Washington's bond was set at $10,000 and he was released Sunday.

Henry Gee, 62, of Lynchburg,  Jermaine Peace, 36, of Goose Creek, and Marion Johnson, 29, of North Charleston were all charged with dog fighting and baiting. They were all released on a PR bond, which means they did not have to pay any money to be released.

Robert Watkins, 46, of Raleigh, NC was charged with dog fighting and baiting. His bond was set at $20,000.

Adrian Ingram, 33, of Sumter, was also charged with dog fighting and baiting. Willienn Darnell Peace, 33, of Moncks Corner, was charged with dog fighting and baiting. His bond was set for $10,000. Both Peace and Ingram remain behind bars.
