Veteran's Day parade planned for Market area Sunday

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center will hold a parade to honor Veterans in the Market area of downtown Charleston on Sunday, November 7.  The parade will include a C-17 flyover, marching bands, historic military vehicles, and floats.  The Grand Marshall for the event is Lee Hunt, a World War II vet who survived a Japanese kamikaze attack on the USS Laffey.

The parade starts at 2 p.m. at Market and Concord streets.  The route then takes it to East Bay Street and on to Broad Street.  The parade will end at Colonial Lake.
