Rock Hill woman pleads guilty to robbery in death

YORK, S.C. (AP) - A Rock Hill woman has pleaded guilty to robbery and conspiracy in a shooting death last year.

The Herald of Rock Hill reported that 23-year-old Samantha Ervin pleaded guilty in York on Thursday to three counts of armed robbery and one count of conspiracy.

Eighteen-year-old Tyrone King was shot to death Oct. 1, 2009.

Ervin originally was charged with murder. Prosecutor Kevin Brackett says she will be sentenced after two co-defendants are prosecuted.

Eighteen-year-old Davontay Darrell Henson was arrested in Maryland last month. Henson and 18-year-old Donte Reid are charged with murder, assault and battery with intent to kill, armed robbery, conspiracy and a weapons charge.

Twenty-year-old Aileen Newman pleaded guilty in August to conspiracy, assault and battery with intent to kill and armed robbery.
