WALTERBORO, SC (WCSC) – Escaped inmate Leonardo L. Walker, 25, turned himself in to deputies with the Colleton County Detention Center Sunday afternoon in Allendale, SC.
Walker has been transported back to the Colleton County Detention Center.
According to authorities Walker escaped last Friday from the trustee quarters while on trustee status.
Walker was being held on traffic charges. Jail officials believe he crawled out of a window and jumped the fence.
Walker has been at the jail on charges of driving under suspension and being a habitual traffic offender since Oct. 26, the Post and Courier reported. He was scheduled to go to court next week.
Deputies say Walker is being charged with escape and will be housed inside the detention center.
