MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) - In advance of the official Veterans Day observance, a Charleston museum is putting some vintage military vehicles on display.
The South Carolina Military Vehicle Preservation Club is showing 15 vehicles, including World War II-era Jeeps, troop trucks and half-track vehicles at the Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum on Charleston Harbor. There's also a collection of uniforms, weapons and military memorabilia.
The museum holds a vintage military vehicle show on Saturday.
Living history displays will show life at a Vietnam War Navy river support base and what life was like aboard the USS Yorktown, the aircraft carrier that is the museum's centerpiece.
Veterans Day is Thursday.
