NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Two men responsible for a pair of taxicab robberies are behind bars and set to go before a bond court judge Monday afternoon, North Charleston police said.
Alexander Gourdine, 16, and Isiah Grant, 17, are both charged with armed robbery.
According to police reports, on Oct. 29, two North Area taxicab drivers responded to the Brackenbrook Apartments to meet a customer. When the suspects approached the cab, one of the men drew a handgun and demanded money from the two drivers, the report stated.
The suspects then fled on foot.
During a search, officers found two one-dollar bills the suspects had dropped.
During a second incident on Nov. 2, two suspects robbed a cab on Brossy Circle in North Charleston, a police report stated. Much like the Oct. 29 incident, one suspect pulled a handgun and demanded the driver's money. The two suspects then fled on foot.
