Federal grand jury hands down three weapons indictments

Columbia, SC (WCSC) - United States Attorney Bill Nettles announced Wednesday that a grand jury indicted three men on weapons charges. None of the indictments were related.

Gilson C. "Juice" Da Silva, 42, of Goose Creek, was charged in a 2-count indictment with possession of firearms and ammunition by an illegal alien and improper entry by an alien. The maximum sentence Da Silva could receive is a fine of $255,000 and imprisonment of more than ten years.

Jarod A. Brown, 22, of North Charleston, was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.  The maximum sentence Brown could receive is a fine of $250,000 and imprisonment of 10 years.

Antoine J. Lott, 25, of Charleston, was also charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.  He faces a similar sentence.
