ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (AP) - The state budget and unemployment are on the agenda as business leaders from across the state gather for the annual summit of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting is being held Thursday at the Isle of Palms.
State Workforce Department executive director John Finan will discuss unemployment at the summit and there will also be a presentation on the budget crunch facing the state.
Another session focuses on a collaboration between hospitals and businesses on health care.
The summit is the annual meeting of the chamber, an industry and business association representing more than 18,000 businesses with more than one million employees.
