Festival of Lights set to open holiday season

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Several lucky Lowcountry runners got to preview the Holiday Festival of Lights during the sold out fun run and walk Thursday, but those ready to get into the Christmas spirit will get their chance to check out the Lowcountry's largest holiday light display soon.

Starting Friday, November 12 and running through January 2, James Island County Park fires up millions of lights for a three mile drive and an Enchanted Walking Trail that is one of the Lowcountry's best holiday traditions.

The lights go on at 5:30 p.m. daily.
