HANAHAN, SC (WCSC) - The week of Thanksgiving marks the four-year anniversary of the disappearance of Keyone Nesbitt. His mother, Sharon Floyd, says she is still mourning the loss of her son.
Nesbitt's remains were found exactly one year after he disappeared in 2006. His remains were found in a wooded area in Ridgeville. It took three months to identify his body. Authorities say Nesbitt was shot in the back of the head.
Major John Clark of the Charleston County Sheriff's Office says the investigation of Nesbitt's case is still open; however, there have not been any new leads in years.
Floyd says she will not have peace until justice is brought to her son's death. Floyd says Nesbitt was caught up in the wrong crowd and she believes that is what led to his death.
