2 arrested for apartment complex burglary

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Police arrested two men early Friday morning for burglary at a West Ashley apartment complex, officials said.

According to Charles Francis, CPD's public information officer, Joshua Jamaray Harris, 22, and Barceneas Davillo Cosby, 43, were arrested and charged with 2nd degree burglary. Cosby was also charged with possession of tools for a crime.

Both men are being housed at the Charleston County Detention Center.

Witnesses at the Abberly Apartments on Ashley Town Center Drive spotted three men breaking into the complex's clubhouse and taking out a flat screen television, a Charleston police report stated.

According to the report, officers entered the fitness center at the apartment complex and noticed mounting brackets for TVs, but the TVs were missing. In one corner, they found Cosby hiding. During a search, they found a screwdriver, several attachments, allen wrenches, a pair of scissors, and several black bolts.

Cosby was then arrested. During interviews, Cosby refused to answer questions, the report stated.

A green vehicle was seen leaving the area with at least one of the suspects inside, the report stated.
