James Island home catches fire twice over weekend

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) – A James Island home was damaged after a fire Sunday morning.

The home caught fire around 3 a.m. on Wye Creek Avenue. Firefighters were originally called to the fire at the residence around 11 p.m. Saturday and they put out the blaze, only to have the fire restart hours later.

Officials say no one was living in the house at the time of the fire, but they do think the fire could be the result of arson.
