SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - A young girl who fell out of the window of her Summerville apartment home Tuesday afternoon was released from the hospital Wednesday.
According to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, the 5-year-old girl fell out of a second story window at the Haven Oaks Apartments. It appears she fell between 12 and 15 feet. Witnesses say the girl's mom and siblings were home at the time. She was trying to close the window at the time of her fall.
She had injuries to her face and was reportedly bleeding from her mouth, officials said. The girl was taken to Medical University Hospital for treatment.
She was released from the hospital Wednesday and is doing fine. She only suffered minor cuts and bruises.
