Police search for person who broke into popular downtown Charleston restaurant

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Employees of a popular downtown taco restaurant arrived at work Wednesday morning to find that someone had broken into the restaurant overnight, a police report shows.

According to Charleston police, Taco Boy employees arrived around 8:40 a.m. and found a crow bar and hatchet lying on the floor. The locks had been pried off and the safe had been pulled from its space, the report stated.

Employees said nothing was missing from the safe.

There was a second break-in at the same Taco Boy on Nov. 2, employees told police, but they didn't report it because nothing was taken.
