CLEMSON, SC (WCSC/AP) - The Amber Alert for a missing 12-year-old girl out of Clemson was canceled early Friday morning after the victim was found in Atlanta.
Authorities found the victim, Julieta Yoselin, and they also arrested the man accused of taking her, 26-year-old Jesus Lozada.
Authorities found the girl with Lozada in Atlanta. Clemson police went to Atlanta to pick up the girl and reunite her with her family.
Multiple media outlets reported that Jesus Aldano Lozada was being held in the Fulton County jail awaiting an extradition hearing. Police in Clemson on Thursday obtained a warrant accusing Lozada of kidnapping.
Clemson Police Chief Jimmy Dixon says no one had reported seeing the girl since she sneaked out of her home Monday night to meet Lozada. Dixon says the Amber Alert was issued Wednesday night when investigators determined Lozada gathered his belongings and the girl took nothing.
There is no word yet on the condition of the girl.
