SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - A 10-year-old Summerville girl has made it her mission to make sure children in the Lowcountry have warm feet this year.

Jordan Crabb has created an organization called "Warm Feet, Happy Hearts," which aims to collect socks for children in need.

Crabb has collected 2,400 pairs of socks by asking Summerville and Fort Dorchester Elementary Schools to help collect socks at Stingrays home games.

Crabb's plan is to collect as many as possible by Dec. 11 when she will give them to children at the Convoy of Hope's Christmas party at the old Navy base in North Charleston.

Crabb will join other volunteers, as well as area businesses, organizations and churches, to help those in need. Crabb said her goal is to make sure no child goes to school with cold feet this winter.
