BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A dense smoke advisory has been issued for Berkeley County Friday morning.
The smoke is a result of a controlled burn resulting in low visibility along Highway 45 and Highway 41 between Jamestown and Huger near the National Forest.
The advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m.
A dense smoke advisory means that smoke will greatly reduce visibilities. Motorists should drive with caution and allow for extra travel time. Use low beam headlights and reduce driving speeds. Leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed. Follow instructions from traffic control authorities.
