MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - A suspect in a 2008 homicide has been brought back to Berkeley County from Massachusetts to face a charge of murder.

Jason Bryant Gadsden was found shot to death in his pickup truck along Royle Road on the evening of September 25, 2008.  The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for the arrest of Ronald Webster, 36, whose last known address was 1029 Royle Road in Ladson.

With the help of the U.S. Marshall's Service, Webster and two other suspects were arrested in Peabody and Lynn, Massachusetts on October 3, 2008.  Adam DeQuina and Joevea Yagman waived extradition and were returned to Berkeley County shortly thereafter.

Webster refused to waive extradition.  After all legal appeals were exhausted, a Massachusetts judge ordered that he be returned to Berkeley County to face the murder charge.  Webster also had several charges in Massachusetts that needed to be settled before he could be returned to South Carolina.

Webster is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner and is expected to have a bond hearing Friday evening, November 19.
