Ladson shooting suspect still on the run

LADSON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is still looking for a suspect wanted for firing shots during a residential domestic dispute Monday in Ladson.

Deputies conducted a search for 29-year-old Alfonza Jones Jr. Monday afternoon near Koester Road in Ladson. According to the sheriff's office, Jones Jr. fired shots at his father during a domestic dispute at 9501 Koester Road in Ladson. No one was shot during the domestic case.

Deputies searched cars and even used a helicopter during the manhunt. Deputies recovered some shell casings at the scene.

Jones has an outstanding warrant for failure to comply, according to sheriff's office spokesman Major John Clark.

Ladson Elementary School was placed on lockdown because of shooting incident, but was reopened early Monday afternoon.
