JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Young Professionals will ring in the season with a chili cookoff and holiday social Wednesday, December 1.
The event will take place at James Island County Park from 6-9 p.m. The event will take in the Festival of Lights, and will feature live music, drawings, and, of course, chili.
Anyone interested in participating in the chili cookoff will receive free admission in addition to eligibility for prizes and bragging rights. To compete, you must provide Chris Wheeler, firstname.lastname@example.org an email of intent. Deadline to register is November 25, and space is limited.
In the spirit of giving, CYP is asking attendees to bring items for Teachers Supply Closet, and will receive a ticket to the drawing of prizes. Items for donation include pencils, copy paper, glue sticks, crayons in 24 pack, composition notebooks, folders, dry erase markers, pink erasers, tissues, hand sanitizer and scissors.
