COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - An inmate who walked away from a minimum security prison in Columbia has been caught in Williamsburg County.

State Law Enforcement Division spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons says 27-year-old Larry Coles Jr. was captured by SLED agents, U.S. Marshals and Corrections Department officers Monday evening.

Timmons says Coles is being held in the Florence County jail.

Corrections Department spokesman Josh Gelinas says Coles walked away from Walden Correctional Institution around 5 a.m. Sunday.

Coles was serving a 5-year sentence for trafficking methamphetamine in Florence County last year.
