CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A strong cold front continues to drive across the southeast Tuesday evening.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely later Tuesday night as the front approaches the Lowcountry. Some of the storms will produce torrential rain, damaging winds and maybe even an isolated tornado.
The front will clear the coast by Wednesday morning and skies will quickly clear by midday. It will be windy and much colder Wednesday with highs only in the upper 50's. A Freeze Watch is in effect for the coastal counties on Wednesday night as temperatures fall into the upper 20's to low 30's.
Thursday and Friday look sunny, but cold, with highs only in the 50's and overnight lows near freezing.
