CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Police say a local business employee was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night while making a deposit at an area bank.
According to authorities, the robbery happened around 7:45 p.m. at the Wachovia on Orleans Road.
Police say that a black male approached the victim while making a nighttime deposit. The victim described the suspect as being in his mid-20's and wearing all black. The victim said he was armed with a handgun.
According to the incident report, the suspect shot at the victim as she tried to flee the scene in her car. The bullet hit her car, shattering a window. Crime scene investigators at the scene found a shell casing from a .45-caliber handgun.
The victim was not hurt in this incident and police have not made any arrests.
