CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Tuesday started off with temperatures in the teens and low 20's across the Lowcountry.
Tuesday's high temperatures, even under a sunny sky, will have a hard time reaching the low 40's. Some areas in the Grand Strand may not make it out of the 30's.
The high for Tuesday should be around 43 degrees with sunny skies in the forecast.
A light northwest wind will keep a wind chill in the forecast. Tuesday night will be bitter cold with many areas inland falling into the teens on Wednesday morning.
Temperatures are still expected to warm up later in the week with the high temperature escalating from 52 degree Thursday to 58 Friday and 63 Saturday.
