Four families homeless after fires

REEVESVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Four families are homeless after fires took their homes on Saturday.

Two families were staying in a home in Reevesville when Red Cross officials say the fire broke out Saturday afternoon. Twelve people, including eight children, were affected by the fire.

The Red Cross also responded to a house fire in Ravenel on Winkie Lane. The family of five received aid and have been placed in alternate housing.

Also on Saturday, the St. Paul Fire Department responded to a house fire in Adams Run off Highway 164. The Red Cross responded to that fire as well.

Since Jan. 1, the Red Cross has helped 1,127 victims of house fires in the Charleston area.
