SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Summerville police say the same suspect may be responsible for three recent robberies at local business.

Investigators say the Nov. 29 robbery at Papa Johns on Trolley Road, the Dec. 7 robbery at the Hess Station on Trolley Road and the Dec. 11 robbery at Phone General appear to be related.

"All these are within walking distance. It looks like it could be the same person," said Summerville Police Capt. Jon Rogers. "We're looking at how the places were robbed and the description we're getting from the victims."

Authorities say the suspect showed a gun in the Papa Johns robbery, and implied he had a gun in the other two robberies.

Surveillance photos from the Hess robbery show the bandit behind the counter, wearing a parka type jacket and a hoodie.

Police say the suspect threatened the victims during all three incidents. The victims cooperated and handed over money in the robberies.

"These folks are absolutely doing the right thing and giving them exactly what they want, when they want, and how they want," Rogers said.

Rogers said the suspect may have left behind his fingerprints at the phone store robbery and said they are being analyzed.
