Missing Orangeburg woman found after spending night in woods

ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) - A missing 50-year-old Orangeburg woman, who jumped out of a car after having an argument with a family member, is found.

Officers say neighbors off Riverside Drive tipped them off about a woman fitting Sandra Wiles description being in the area. They say she was found around 2:00pm in a vacant home after spending Saturday night in the woods.

Wiles was taken to Regional Medical Center. Officers say she's expected to be all right.

The argument happened around 3:30pm Saturday. The Orangeburg Police Department says after the verbal altercation, Wiles jumped out of the car near Caw Caw Creek.

Captain Adams did indicate Wiles has physical and mental disabilities and needed medication.

More than 30 people were out looking for her around Caw Caw Creek Sunday and a helicopter was also used to help find her.
