4 arrested in weekend robbery, more charges pending

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – North Charleston police arrested three brothers and a woman in connection to the robbery of an Asian restaurant. Police caught the three men after responding to a robbery Tuesday night.

Daniel Brown, 22, David Brown, 21, and Joseph Brown, 26, were taken into custody and charged in the Dec. 20 robbery at Luz's Place.

In bond court Wednesday Joseph Brown and Daniel Brown both received a million dollar bond on 2 counts of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

David Brown bond was set at $150,000 for armed robbery and possession of a fire arm.

Police said in a press conference Wednesday, they captured one of the men after Tuesday night's attempted robbery on Old Pine Circle. During a search of an apartment, police found evidence from other robberies including Monday's.

Police said at least one of the Brown brothers would be charged in connection to an ATM robbery in Charleston.

21-year-old Anquinelle Brown was also charged in connection to the Luz's Place robbery. The judge will release Anquinelle from jail after she promised to show up at a later court date.  She's the girlfriend of one of the suspects, police said.

Many Asian restaurants have been on edge in recent months after a string of at least 20 robberies have targeted those businesses. Police said the Browns are not connected to those robberies, but think they may be connected to other crimes in the area.
