GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF/WCSC) – The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, have located two young boys who went missing from the Pleasant Hill area Friday.
According to Deputy Russell Goodale, spokesman for the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, the two boys, one 2-years-old, the other 3-years-old, went missing around 1 p.m. Authorities were advised that the children had wandered from the residence in an unknown direction of travel.
Both boys were located about two hours later approximately 1.5 miles from their residence by a member of the community.
Goodale said bloodhounds and search teams searched an area near Pleasant Hill.
Georgetown County Fire and EMS units along with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Bloodhound Tracking Team, A SLED Aviation unit and numerous members of the community assisted in the search. A SLED helicopter also assisted with the search.
