3 injured, 1 dead after single car accident in Berkeley County

BERKEKEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) – A single car accident left one person dead and three others injured after they struck several trees Saturday morning in Berkeley County on Highway 6.

According to authorities, the 1987 Sedan was traveling westbound on Highway 6 when it ran off the road and hit several trees, causing the car to overturn. The driver and three other passengers were ejected out of the car.

The Berkeley County Coroner's Office says 29-year-old Dontai President Jr. of Cross, a passenger, died at Trident Medical Hospital from multiple injuries to the body.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner's Office are still investigating this incident.
