Mt. Pleasant police release surveillance photos in purse theft

MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) – The Mount Pleasant Police Departments released surveillance photos Tuesday in hopes to identity two females wanted for allegedly stealing a woman's purse and using her checks and credit cards.

According to Mt. Pleasant police, the victim had her purse stolen while in the photo processing area of the Walmart at Wando Crossing, located at 1481 Highway 17 North.

One of the female suspects stole the purse and the second female was in her company, a police report stated. After the theft, the two females left in a blue compact car. 

The victim's checks and credit cards have been used repeatedly in the Rivers Avenue and Remount Road area of North Charleston.

Mount Pleasant police are asking for assistance in identifying the two female. Anyone with information should contact the Mount Pleasant Police Department at (843)884-4176.
