4 new SC GOP congressmen ready to take their seats

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Four new congressmen are officially joining the South Carolina congressional delegation.

Tim Scott from the First District along the coast joins Jeff Duncan from the Third, Trey Gowdy from the Fourth District and Mick Mulvaney from the Fifth District in taking the oath of office in Washington on Wednesday.

All four are Republicans who won their seats last November.

The freshmen in the delegation hold a drop-in at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington.
